

The project of “The Online Advising Support and Interactive Study System” (OASISS) which was approved in principle for Quality Enhancement Grant Scheme (QEGS) purpose will take 18 months to implement and complete. A physical OASISS laboratory located on the main Tseung Kwan O (TKO) campus with booths has been built to enable remote access to OASISS from satellite campuses at Yau Ma Tei and Caine Road.

Course SelectionStudents and staff of CFHC and CBCC can register for short courses of their interests through OASISS. Short courses are conducted at a regular interval in both CFHC and CBCC to enhance the experience and skills of both students and staff in their personal and academic development. |

Academic AdvisingThe OASISS project offers remote academic advising through the use of an advanced real-time video conferencing system. Teaching staff can give advice and provide guidance to students in their course of study by conducting online consultation session that has the same effect as a face-to-face session. |

Advisor ReserveStudents who encounter language-related problems in their studies (on different campuses or at home) might consider taking part in the online English and Putonghua Clinics which is a synchronous learning platform for language support and enhancement. The OASISS allows students to sign up for a place in the many English and Putonghua Clinics that are held by the Department of Language in regular intervals. |

CounselingCounseling can be conducted in total privacy with booths set up in campuses in Tseung Kwan O, Yau Ma Tei and Caine Road, where students and staff can access dedicated computers set up to access OASISS. The video-conferencing system allows students to access career and general counseling services remotely. |
